Celebrating Future Generations: SUNOTEC Marks International Children’s Day with Purpose and Pride
At SUNOTEC, we believe that a brighter tomorrow begins with empowering the youngest members of our society today. This June 1st, as we celebrate International Children’s Day, we proudly reflect on the many ways we support, inspire, and care for children and teens in the communities where we live and work.
Over the past months, we’ve had the privilege of participating in and supporting numerous impactful initiatives, each rooted in our belief that nurturing young talent, character, and creativity is a shared responsibility.
One of the many highlights this year is our support of Martin Valeov, a 14-year-old tennis prodigy whose discipline and sportsmanship on the court exemplify the values we stand for. Martin’s dedication inspires us, and we are honoured to be part of his journey toward excellence.
In the realm of football, SUNOTEC has deepened its long-standing commitment to youth sports through several exciting partnerships:
In collaboration with APSTE and the Bulgarian Football Union, we proudly supported the launch of the School Lions Tournament 2025. This pioneering initiative offers mixed school teams of 2nd- to 4th-graders the opportunity to compete, learn, and grow, fostering teamwork and inclusivity from an early age.
Earlier this year, SUNOTEC was named General Sponsor of the SUNOTEC Sofia Cup 2025, one of Bulgaria’s largest and most dynamic youth football tournaments. With over 160 teams competing across eight age categories, this milestone event showcased the energy, talent, and unity of young players from across the country.
Just a few days ago, we had the honour of contributing to theSecond Annual Youth Football Awards, a celebration of Bulgaria’s most promising U15, U16, and U17 players. In partnership with Sportal.bg, the country’s leading digital sports media outlet, and the Bulgarian Football Union, this event recognised the next generation of football excellence.
Closer to home, we continue to support the Murgash Football Academy in Elin Pelin, just outside our Sofia headquarters. Over the past three years, nearly 100 young athletes have grown through this program, not only in skill but in spirit—something we’re especially proud of.
Our commitment to youth goes beyond sports. This academic year, SUNOTEC became a Super Partner of Teenovator, a national initiative that helps high school students turn bold ideas into real-world startups through mentoring and collaboration. Now in its seventh year, Teenovator has helped launch dozens of promising business ventures while reaching thousands of students across Bulgaria.
And finally, we brought the celebration of Children’s Day into our own offices. This year, SUNOTEC surprised the children of our employees with special educational gifts, sparking joy and curiosity in our smallest community members.
